US President Donald Trump said that the time has come for a bill to introduce 500% tariffs for countries that help the aggressor country russia wage war against Ukraine.
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham stated this, a video recording of whose words was published by the head of the Presidential Office Andrii Yermak on Sunday, June 29.
Graham noted that the bill involves the introduction of 500% tariffs against countries that purchase Russia's main export goods - oil, gas, coal, uranium, petroleum products and petrochemicals. According to him, countries such as India and China purchase 70% of russian oil, which allows russia to continue its aggression.
"I was playing (golf – Ed.) with him. He says, "It's time to move - move your bill," Graham emphasized.
This document will provide Trump with tools that he didn't have before, the senator said. According to Graham, Trump will sign this document after the July recess.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on June 26, Australia imposed new sanctions against a number of russians and companies from the aggressor country, russia.
Recall that on May 20, the European Union agreed to impose a 17th package of sanctions against russia for its full-scale military aggression against Ukraine.
