Today, there is no talk of the russian occupation forces bringing artillery to the border area of the Sumy Region. There has been no shelling of the city of Sumy with artillery.
The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Andrii Kovalenko, reported this on his Telegram channel on Sunday, June 29.
Kovalenko noted that he received information directly from representatives of the Defense Forces from the Sumy direction. According to him, the russian occupiers can reach Sumy with some types of multiple launch rocket systems, but from the territory of the Kursk Oblast.
"They note that there is no shelling of the city of Sumy from barrel artillery. It should be noted that russia can use some types of weapons (in particular, some types of MLRS) to reach Sumy from the territory of the Kursk Oblast. As of today, there is no talk of the enemy bringing barrel artillery to the territory of the border areas of the Sumy Region, where russian assault troops have entered, and where active battles are taking place with our soldiers," the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation emphasized.

Recall that on June 26, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that the advance of russian troops in the Sumy Region's border areas has been stopped, and the line of combat contact has been stabilized.
