The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Syrskyi, in particular, reported that he visited the Pokrovsk axis, which remains the hottest on the entire 1,200-kilometer length of the front of the russian-Ukrainian war.

He noted that no less than fifty combat clashes take place here every day, it was in this direction that the russians created the most numerous grouping - about 111,000 personnel.

Syrskyi reported that the enemy is not giving up attempts to break through to the administrative border of the Donetsk Region, wants to do this not only to achieve some operational results, but primarily for demonstration purposes.

"To achieve a psychological effect (the Russians want): to put up the notorious "foot of the Russian soldier", to stick a flag and to trumpet about another pseudo-"victory". Sabotage and assault groups of Russians were especially active here two weeks ago. But all of them were destroyed or neutralized, and the remnants were thrown back further from the administrative border. The situation is under control," he reported.

Syrskyi said that he spoke with soldiers in the immediate vicinity of the combat contact line and on the next lines of defense, held meetings in the units of the Armed Forces and the National Guard of Ukraine, which are restraining and destroying the enemy, had the opportunity to study the operational situation in detail, clarify all problematic points, and gave orders necessary for the effective implementation of defense tasks.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Syrskyi previously reported that the advance of russian troops in the border areas of the Sumy Region has been stopped, and the combat contact line has been stabilized.
