During the recent attack on the Crimean Bridge in the Kerch Strait, the Security Service of Ukraine used drones that were equipped with a total of more than 2 tons of explosives.
SSU Chief Vasyl Maliuk said this during a conversation with journalists, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"I'll be honest: for the third time, we detonated 1,100 kilograms of explosives on the bridge, plus another 1,100 kilograms. That is, twice 1,100 kilograms on key supports of the illegal structure on the territory of Ukraine," Maliuk said.
He did not specify the details of the attack on the Crimean Bridge support, citing "obvious reasons."
At the same time, the SSU chief emphasized that the third attack on the Crimean Bridge is the beginning of a new era of "maritime history."
Recall, on June 3 of this year, the Security Service of Ukraine carried out an attack on the Crimean Bridge. It was the third since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the aggressor country, the russian federation.
The attack was carried out using underwater drones. They struck one of the supports of the automobile arch of the Crimean Bridge.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in April of this year, the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, stated that the Crimean Bridge continues to be a target for the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
