Missile that struck Kyiv building was equipped with high-explosive warhead – Internal Affairs Ministry

The missile that the russian federation used to strike Kyiv on the night of June 23 was equipped with a high-explosive warhead.

The Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko announced this on the air of the telethon, RBC - Ukraine reports.

It is reported that the strike on the residential building was carried out by a ballistic missile with a large number of fragments and the warhead was high-explosive.

"This is a direct hit of the missile. And I can say that this missile flew over this tall building and flew into this five-story building. Preliminary, it is a ballistic missile. And we can say in advance that when we inspected the territory, cars, there was a lot of debris and it was the high-explosive, most likely, warhead of the missile," said Klymenko.

Klymenko also reported that the missile hit the house directly, flying over the previous tall building and hitting a five-story building.

Earlier, it was reported that as a result of the shelling on the night of June 23 in the Shevchenkivskyi District of Kyiv, the number of deaths has increased, currently 6 victims of the attack are reported.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as a result of the night attack by the aggressor country russia on Kyiv, significant destruction was recorded in residential and administrative buildings, as well as the death of people.

In addition, on the night of June 23, the russian occupiers attacked the Kyiv Region, as a result of which three districts were affected. In particular, in the Bila Tserkva District, a hotel building where a medical facility was located was destroyed. One person was killed and wounded, among them rescuers.
