As a result of the night attack by the aggressor country russia on Kyiv on the night of Monday, June 23, significant destruction was recorded in residential and administrative buildings, fires, according to preliminary data, killed 6 people and injured 13.
The State Emergency Service and the Kyiv City Military Administration announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
According to the State Emergency Service, the Shevchenkivskyi, Podilskyi, Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi and Darnytskyi Districts were affected by the shelling.
In particular, in the Shevchenkivskyi District, a missile hit a five-story residential building - the ceiling between the floors was destroyed, the roof partially collapsed; a car fire broke out in the yard.
Rescuers evacuated residents using ladders, and 7 people were rescued, including a pregnant woman.
In the Solomianskyi District, the roof of a business center caught fire, and an office building with an area of about 800 m² was also on fire.
In addition, open areas and damage to non-residential buildings were recorded due to falling debris.
The State Emergency Service reported that 4 people were killed as a result of the shelling, another 13 people were injured; 10 people, including two children, were pulled from the rubble.
Later, the State Emergency Service reported 6 deaths in the Shevchenkivskyi District.
"The elimination of the consequences of the night strike on the city is ongoing, all services are working. The information is being clarified," the State Emergency Service reported.
The attack took place in several stages: first, russia launched strike drones at Kyiv, and later used ballistic and cruise missiles.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of June 17, the russians launched a combined strike with drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles on Kyiv, focusing on residential areas.
One of the missiles destroyed the entrance of a high-rise building in the Solomianskyi District - at least 14 people were killed.
