Exactly 100 days since russia rejected US peace proposal for ceasefire – Sybiha

The Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha emphasized that today, June 19, 100 days have passed since the aggressor state russia rejected the US peace proposal for a complete ceasefire. He emphasized the need for peace through force.

Sybiha wrote about this on X.

Thus, he emphasized that exactly 100 days have passed since Ukraine unconditionally accepted the US peace proposal for a complete ceasefire and "to put an end to the killing, and move forward with a genuine peace process."

"It has been exactly 100 days since Russia has been rejecting this basic first step toward peace. 100 days of Russian manipulations and missed opportunities to end the war. 100 days of Russia escalating terror against Ukraine rather than ending it," the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine emphasized.

Sybiha stressed that Ukraine remains committed to peace. At the same time, russia continues to choose war, ignoring US efforts.

"It is time to act now and force Russia to peace. Peace through strength, increased sanctions, and enhanced capabilities for Ukraine," he added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russian leader vladimir putin announced russia's readiness for the next round of negotiations with Ukraine and outlined the preliminary dates for their holding.

Putin also stated that he did not rule out the possibility of negotiations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, but emphasized that he did not consider him authorized to sign any international agreements.
