Israel launches new wave of attacks on Iran

Israel is launching a new wave of attacks on Iranian military targets. It was reported by CNN, BBC and Al Jazeera on Friday, June 13.

The Israeli army said that its warplanes continue to attack Iranian "missile launchers" as well as "infrastructure" used to launch drones. The media wrote that new explosions were heard throughout Iran.

"Information is being spread on the Internet and in some Iranian media outlets that Tehran is being targeted for the second time today. There were also citizens who said that they heard explosions in western Tehran, as well as in other parts of the city," the report said.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) reported that western Tehran was being hit again. The city of Karaj, near Tehran, was also targeted. In addition, missiles were intercepted south of Tehran.

The Israeli military said it was working to intercept a missile launched "from Yemen towards Israeli territory." Sirens sounded in several areas across Israel.

"Air defense systems are working to intercept the threat," the report said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of June 13, the Israeli army struck Iran.

Also on June 13, Israel struck an Iranian nuclear facility.
