Russian troops storm the area near the Antonivskyi bridge daily and are trying to knock out the Ukrainian defense forces from there. This was reported on the air of We-Ukraine by the spokesman for the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Vladyslav Voloshyn.
Voloshyn reports that the occupiers are storming this area to create a convenient bridgehead from which it will be possible to fire on the Ukrainian-controlled part of the Kherson Region, and are also using electronic warfare equipment located on watercraft.
"The enemy is constantly carrying out its assault actions near the Antonivskyi bridges, trying to knock out our fighters who are near these bridges and prevent the enemy from getting closer to capturing the bridgehead and shelling the right bank... The enemy is trying to use many means to somehow protect itself, in particular, electronic warfare equipment that it places on watercraft," spokesman Voloshyn says.
It is also reported that the Defense Forces use not only drones to destroy the russian occupiers, but also artillery, mortars and other means.
"Where we cannot destroy it with drones, we destroy it, for example, by using artillery, mortars and other means of destruction," he noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, today residents of the Kherson Region were warned about a prolonged lack of electricity - the russian federation attacked an important energy facility.
According to the non-governmental human rights organization Human Rights Watch, servicemen of the army of the aggressor country of russia are carrying out targeted attacks on civilians in Kherson and surrounding settlements. In seven months of 2024, at least 30 civilians killed as a result of such attacks.
