1 million occupiers lost in vain - russia has not achieved any strategic goal - Sybiha

As of June 12, 2025, the losses of the russian occupation forces - killed and wounded - reached one million people. At the same time, the aggressor country of russia has not achieved any of its strategic goals. This was reported by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha on the social network X.

"Today, russian losses in Ukraine reached one million killed and wounded in action. 1.000.000 lost for nothing—russia has not achieved a single strategic goal of its full-scale invasion. And it won’t," he wrote.

The minister noted that Ukraine did not start this war and wants it to end more than anyone else.

"We are committed to peace. Only russia obstructs peace efforts, rejects ceasefire and leaders’ meeting, and does everything to prolong the war. The pressure on the aggressor must be increased. Russia's military and political leadership must be held accountable for this barbaric and illegal aggression. All russian criminals who committed atrocities in Ukraine must face justice," Sybiha added.
