The DPRK transfers a wide range of weapons to russia and supplies the occupation army with weapons ranging from 122-mm D-74 howitzers and 107-mm infantry multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) to 240-mm MLRS and 170-mm M1989 self-propelled artillery mounts Koksan. This was stated by the head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov in an interview with The War Zone.
The head of the Defense Intelligence notes that the russian federation and the DPRK are deepening and expanding their cooperation - putin needs weapons and soldiers for the war against Ukraine, and the leader of the DPRK Kim Jong Un - money and military technology. Budanov also believes that russian assistance to North Korea will change the balance of power on the Korean Peninsula.
"There is an agreement between these countries to begin creating facilities for the production of Geran and Garpia UAVs on the territory of North Korea. This will certainly change the military balance in the region between North Korea and South Korea," Budanov said.
He also said that the Koksan self-propelled gun, unfortunately, performs quite well in combat, and russia has received 120 such installations from the DPRK.
"We have data that 120 units were delivered to the russian federation. But I think that the supply will continue, since these guns perform quite well. This is sad for us, since this is artillery for long-range shooting," the head of the Defense Intelligence said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of June 10, the aggressor state of russia attacked Ukraine with 322 air attack vehicles, including ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as 315 drones. Among them were North Korean missiles.
North Korea has moved a new warship that crashed during a launching ceremony to the port of Rajin, near the border with russia, with analysts suggesting Moscow may be involved in its repairs.
