US President Donald Trump warned billionaire Elon Musk that he will face "serious consequences" if he finances Democratic candidates the way he once financed Republicans.
He said this in an interview with NBC News.
"If he does, he’ll have to pay the consequences for that. He’ll have to pay very serious consequences if he does that," Trump said.
Trump is also convinced that his relationship with Elon Musk is over, and he is not going to restore them against the backdrop of a public quarrel that recently unfolded on social networks. Trump also does not plan to talk to Musk in the near future.
"I'm too busy doing other things," Trump noted.
Trump rejected the accusations of involvement in Jeffrey Epstein's crimes.
"That’s called "old news," that’s been old news, that has been talked about for years. Even Epstein’s lawyer said I had nothing to do with it. It’s old news," he assured.
Recall, the US president said he would have won the election without Musk, adding that he no longer wanted to communicate with him and "didn't even think" about him.
In response, Musk published a series of posts on the X platform, claiming that without his support, Trump would not have won, and criticized the president's budget bill, which, according to him, only increases the deficit.
In turn, Trump wrote that Musk "was on the edge" at some point and "he just went crazy!". There was also information that Trump was allegedly considering selling his Tesla.
