Five more countries join "EW Coalition" – Umerov

Five more countries have joined the Electronic Warfare Coalition (EW) in support of Ukraine: Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Turkey and Estonia.

Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced this on his Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Another important result of the meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Issues of Ukraine is the expansion of the Electronic Warfare Coalition (EW). Five more countries have officially joined the initiative - Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Turkey and Estonia, by signing the relevant annex to the Letter of Intent," he said.

Umerov also noted that Germany, as the leader of the coalition, has already created a financial mechanism for the procurement of equipment and services in the field of EW for their prompt transfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine as international military assistance.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in April, Umerov announced that within the framework of the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group ("Ramstein"), a coalition of electronic warfare in support of Ukraine was created.

At that time, 11 states, including Ukraine, joined the initiative, which signed a joint letter of intent.
