Due to the SSU's operation Pavutyna (Web), russian troops will not be able to carry out terrorist attacks on Ukraine for a long time.
The head of the communications department of the Air Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yurii Ihnat, reported this in an interview with Ukrainian Pravda.
According to Ihnat, this operation had major consequences for the russian terrorist troops, since according to the SSU, an A-50 aircraft and a number of long-range and strategic aircraft were destroyed in it.
"The Russians could count the number of modernized A-50s on the fingers of one hand. Thanks to them, Russia conducted powerful radar reconnaissance deep into Ukraine for hundreds of kilometers, which gave the enemy information about the presence of our planes in the air, about air attacks, as well as about our air defense systems. The loss of one such aircraft is already a big event. But besides that, we have attacked airfields," he said.
It is reported that the SSU reported damage to more than 40 aircraft during the Web operation.
"They will not be able to carry out their tasks for a long time, namely, terrorist acts on the territory of our state. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, the enemy used strategic aircraft carriers. Tu-22M3 long-range aircraft, Tu-95 and Tu-160 strategic aircraft," Ihnat said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the SSU destroyed an A-50 aircraft at the russian Ivanovo airbase: satellite images confirm the result of the Web operation.
Last Sunday, June 1, the Security Service of Ukraine conducted an operation called Web. Its target was the strategic aviation aircraft of the russian army.
The Belaya (Irkutsk Oblast), Dyagilevo (Ryazan Oblast), Olenya (Murmansk Oblast) and Ivanovo (Ivanovo Oblast) airfields were hit by Ukrainian drones.
As a result of the Web operation, 41 aircraft of the russian army were destroyed, including Tu-95MS, Tu-22M3 and Tu-160 bombers.
