US President Donald Trump has accused China of violating the trade deal with the United States.
He wrote about this on the Truth Social social network.
"Two weeks ago China was in grave economic danger! The very high Tariffs I set made it virtually impossible for China to TRADE into the United States marketplace which is, by far, number one in the World," the message says.
The American President said that the US took tough measures against China, and this was "devastating for them." According to him, as a result, many factories closed and "civil unrest" arose.
Trump noted that he had concluded a quick agreement with China, thanks to which, in his opinion, "everything quickly stabilized."
"The bad news is that China, perhaps not surprisingly to some, HAS TOTALLY VIOLATED ITS AGREEMENT WITH US," Trump said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 11, the White House said the United States and China had made "significant progress" on key trade issues during two days of high-level talks in Geneva, Switzerland.
As a reminder, on April 9, Trump increased tariffs on China to 125% and announced a 90-day pause for other countries.
