Staff-Level Agreement reached on 8th review of EFF program with IMF

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission on the eighth review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program with Ukraine, which worked in Kyiv on May 20-27, has completed its work.

This is stated in the NBU report, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

IMF representatives and the Ukrainian authorities have reached a Staff-Level Agreement (SLA).

The relevant agreement must be approved by the IMF Board of Directors, which will consider it in the coming weeks.

After that, Ukraine will receive access to financing in the amount of SDR 0.37 billion (about USD 0.5 billion in equivalent), and the total amount of payments under the program will reach USD 10.65 billion.

The total size of the program remains unchanged (USD 15.5 billion).

Two structural milestones have been completed by the eighth review, and another milestone will be completed in the coming weeks.

The Ukrainian side has made firm commitments to advance other key reforms.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2025 it is planned to attract USD 2.7 billion from the IMF based on the results of four quarterly reviews.

At the end of March, the state budget of Ukraine received about USD 400 million of the next tranche of the International Monetary Fund.
