Russia not yet able to launch thousand Shaheds daily — Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the aggressor country russia is focusing its efforts on increasing the production of Shahed type strike UAVs. However, the enemy does not currently have the ability to launch 1,000 drones daily over Ukraine.

As RBC-Ukraine writes, Zelenskyy said this during a conversation with journalists yesterday, May 27.

According to the President, Ukraine has information that the russian federation seeks to produce 500 strike drones per day.

"They are preparing for production so that they can produce 300-350 drones per day. This is their real situation. They were tasked with having 500 per day. I do not believe that they have it," Zelenskyy said.

The head of state added that he does not accept the figure of 1,000 drones. He believes that the russians can launch such a number of Shaheds only if they accumulate them over several days.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 20, the Defense Express portal wrote, citing sources, that the occupiers had modernized the Shahed drones, equipping them with a more powerful warhead.

As a reminder, information about a note allegedly left in the Shahed hull by a sympathetic russian engineer turned out to be russian propaganda.
