Today, May 28, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will pay an official visit to Germany. In particular, he will hold meetings with Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
German government representative Stefan Kornelius stated this, NTV reports.
As reported, Chancellor Friedrich Merz will receive Volodymyr Zelenskyy with military honors in the Chancellery.
"The visit will be dedicated to Germany's support for Ukraine and efforts to achieve a ceasefire," the German government spokesman said.
After the talks, a joint lunch is planned, and a press conference following the meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. (12:30 p.m. Kyiv time, - Ed.). Zelenskyy and Merz will also meet with representatives of German companies.
"In the afternoon, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier," Kornelius noted.
The talks between Zelenskyy and Steinmeier will take place at Bellevue Palace.
The publication also recalled that Zelenskyy was last in Berlin in June and October 2024.
