We will remind you that if this prisoner exchange takes place, it will be the largest exchange in more than three years since russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 16, after negotiations with a delegation of the aggressor country russia in Istanbul, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said that an exchange of 1,000 prisoners of war from both sides should take place with russia.

On May 22, the head of the Presidential Office, Andrii Yermak, reported that Ukraine had done its part of the preparatory work for the exchange of prisoners of war with russia.
