Biden spokesman denies that ex-President hid diagnosis

Former US President's spokesman Chris Meagher denied the assumption that Joe Biden knew about his prostate cancer diagnosis before the official announcement.

This is reported by The New York Times.

According to Meagher, the cancer was discovered only last week. He also noted that Biden last underwent prostate-specific antigen testing in 2014.

The spokesman did not comment on why such tests were not conducted regularly during the presidency.

The statement released on May 18 stated that Biden's cancer has a high degree of aggressiveness (Gleason score 9) and has already metastasized to the bones. The disease is considered incurable, but is controllable.

Recall that 82-year-old former US President Joseph Biden was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer with bone metastases.
