The Prosecutor General's Office of the aggressor country of russia has declared the international non-governmental human rights organization Amnesty International "undesirable."
This is evidenced by a message published on the website of the russian department on Monday, May 19.
The russians explain the decision to declare the organization "undesirable" by the fact that the "London headquarters of Amnesty International" allegedly "is a center for the preparation of global russophobic projects paid for by accomplices of the Kyiv regime."
The russians claim that Amnesty International allegedly "justifies the crimes of the Ukrainian military," "calls for an increase in their funding," and "insists on the political and economic isolation of russia."
In addition, Amnesty International was accused of allegedly supporting extremist organizations and financing "foreign agents" (since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Kremlin has imposed this status on everyone who opposes the war or supports the Ukrainian side).
Amnesty International is an international non-governmental human rights organization headquartered in London.
It was founded in 1961 and aims to conduct research and action against human rights violations.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in November 2022, Amnesty International accused russia of forcibly deporting Ukrainians from the occupied territories.
We also wrote that the organization accused the Ukrainian army of allegedly placing personnel in school and hospital buildings.
Later, it became known that the materials for the scandalous Amnesty International report could have been collected under supervision or direct pressure from the russians.
