Dismissal of Magura brigade’s battalion commander: working group created in General Staff to examine circumsta

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andrii Hnatov, instructed to create a working group to study the circumstances indicated by the commander of the 47th battalion of the Magura separate mechanized brigade, Oleksandr Shyrshyn.

The press service of the General Staff has reported this.

The statement says that a detailed analysis of the orders and instructions of the command will be conducted, taking into account the combat situation. The decision is promised to be made based on the results of the inspection.

Earlier, Shyrshyn reported on social networks that he had submitted a report for dismissal from his post. He called the reason, in his words, inadequate combat missions, which, in his opinion, lead to unjustified losses of personnel. The officer did not disclose details, but stated his readiness to provide more information to journalists later.

"I have not received more stupid tasks than in the current direction. I will tell you the details sometime, but the loss of people was stupid, trembling before the stupid generalship, except for failures, does not lead to anything," said Shyrshyn.

He also mentioned the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in his post and added: "I hope your children will also be in the infantry and [will] carry out your tasks."

The 47th separate mechanized brigade has been reporting on the performance of combat missions in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation since October 2024. According to the latest publications on social networks, units of the brigade are also operating on the Sumy axis.

Recall, in May, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the Defense Forces of Ukraine had achieved most of the goals set in the Kursk operation.
