Starmer accuses putin of prolonging war by refusing to come to talks with Zelenskyy

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer accused russian dictator vladimir putin of prolonging the war by refusing to participate in the talks in Turkey, which he himself initiated last week.

Starmer made the corresponding statement today, May 15, his words are quoted by The Guardian.

According to Starmer, putin is standing in the way of a ceasefire between Ukraine and the aggressor country russia.

When asked by journalists what he would like to convey to putin, Starmer said:

" What’s happened today is further evidence that it’s Putin who is dragging his feet," the head of the British government replied.

Starmer drew attention to the fact that Ukraine has been insisting on the introduction of a 30-day ceasefire for several months, while russia is in every way delaying the negotiation process.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 11, russian dictator vladimir putin refused the proposal to impose a 30-day ceasefire. Instead, he proposed holding bilateral talks with Ukraine in Turkey.

As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy agreed to hold bilateral talks and said he would wait for putin in Istanbul on May 15.

However, yesterday, May 14, the kremlin published the official composition of the russian delegation. Putin was not in it and was not seen in Turkey.
