US President Donald Trump is putting pressure on Ukraine and the aggressor country of russia on the issue of a peaceful resolution of the conflict. At the same time, most of this pressure was felt by Ukraine, not the initiator of the war.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a press conference in Ankara.
"I believe that we were put under more pressure <...> But this does not mean that we are the aggressor," Zelenskyy noted.
He recalled that Ukraine has repeatedly confirmed this, agreeing to compromises, including an agreement on a complete ceasefire without any conditions.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine has many conditions for russia in this issue.
"We really want there to be a demonstration of pressure on russia, on putin. Sanctions from Europe, the United States, from other countries. At a minimum, sanctions," the President said.
Recall, also during a press conference in Ankara, Zelenskyy stated that the refusal of russian dictator vladimir putin to participate in the negotiations that he himself proposed to hold demonstrates his disrespect for the United States and Turkey.
Zelenskyy also stated that the army of the aggressor country, the russian federation, has launched offensive actions on all sectors of the front, and the main direction has become the Sumy Region.
