Russia is activating its network of influence agents on the eve of May 9 - the Kremlin plans to hold a number of information and propaganda events in the capitals of many states. The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported this on its Telegram channel.
Thus, in Prague (Czech Republic) on May 7-8, a rally "For the Restoration of Relations with the russian federation" and an action "80th Anniversary of Liberation from Fascism. We Cannot Have Peace" are to be held. The organizer of these events is the anti-government pro-russian movement "Ne zakladnam CR".
On May 9, representatives of the specified organization will walk through the central streets of Prague with the aim of supposedly "honoring the victims" of World War II. A number of events throughout the country aimed at glorifying the "Red Army" have also been planned by the Czech communists, the Defense Intelligence notes.
In Sofia (Bulgaria) on May 9, representatives of the organization "russian House in Bulgaria" plan to hold a propaganda action "St. George's Ribbon".
In Brussels on May 6, "russian House" intends to hold a round table on "the struggle that the Belgians, Dutch and Luxembourgers waged in solidarity with the peoples of russia and other republics of the Soviet Union against the brown plague of the 20th century".
In London (Britain), russians are planning a theatrical reenactment of the events of 1945. In Warsaw (Poland), the action "Wall of Memory", organized by "russian House".
In Bucharest (Romania), the russian Embassy is organizing a laying of flowers to the "Unknown Soldier" in order to use the public event for propaganda speeches. Also in Romania, russians are trying to attract a wide audience, including children, to the campaign "Decorate your windows with symbols of victory." As part of this information campaign, Soviet-russian "victory" motifs and symbols are being spread on social networks, Defense Intelligence notes.
On May 11, in Verona (Italy), "russian House" wants to hold an international forum "Memory of the Winners".
Also, intelligence notes, in most European countries on May 9, a campaign "European Peace Project" beneficial to russia is planned.
In Toronto, Montreal and other major cities in Canada, russian agents of influence, organized as the public organization "Immortal Regiment", intend to hold car and motorcycle races with Soviet-russian symbols, thematic concerts, master classes on creating paper bouquets of carnations, broadcasts of Soviet-themed cartoons and films, as well as participate in the musical "Immortal Regiment" organized by the aggressor state's TV channel "russia 1".
The "Immortal Regiment" propaganda marches are planned in the suburbs of Washington (USA), Munich (Germany), Toronto (Canada), Belgrade (Serbia), Naples and Genoa (Italy) and other cities.
The Defense Intelligence notes that russia falsifies history, distorts facts about World War II, creates and exploits myths about "victory over fascism" in order to justify the criminal war against Ukraine and spread its own malignant influence in the world.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in February, the SSU warned that the special services of the aggressor country, russia, were calling on Ukrainians to protest and spreading fake news about street riots in different parts of the country.
