Trump wants to involve Erdogan in peaceful settlement of war between Ukraine and russia

US President Donald Trump said that he wants to involve Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the settlement of the war between Ukraine and the aggressor country russia.

Trump wrote about this on Truth Social on Monday, May 5.

Trump said that he had a "very good and productive" phone conversation with Erdogan. According to him, they discussed many issues, including the russian-Ukrainian war, as well as the situation in Syria and the Gaza Strip.

"I look forward to working with President Erdogan on getting the ridiculous but deadly, War between Russia and Ukraine ended – NOW!," Trump wrote.

The head of the White House added that the Turkish leader invited him to visit Turkey in the future. Trump also invited Erdogan to come to Washington.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on Sunday, May 4, President Trump said that in the negotiations between Ukraine and russia he is closer to one of the parties. The American leader did not specify which one.

Recall, The Telegraph wrote that Trump's dismissal of his national security adviser Mike Waltz can be interpreted as a change in policy towards russia.
