In January-March of this year, PrivatBank increased its profit by 22% to UAH 16.9 billion compared to the same period last year (UAH 13.9 billion).
The bank has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In the 1st quarter of 2025, PrivatBank’s business result without revaluations, reserves and taxes increased by 10% compared to the same period in 2024 and amounted to UAH 20.3 billion.
The main driver of growth was the results of the bank's main activities - net interest and commission income increased by 13% year-on-year.
Net profit amounted to UAH 16.9 billion.
Funds on individual accounts increased by UAH 7.3 billion (+1.6%).
Along with this, the bank actively increased financing of the real sector of the economy.
Since the beginning of 2025, PrivatBank's net loan portfolio has grown by UAH 5 billion and as of March 31, 2025 amounted to UAH 117.8 billion.
In the first quarter, the bank allocated more than UAH 3 billion to support the agricultural sector, one of the key sectors for the development of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, at its meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers approved PrivatBank's annual report for 2024, as well as the distribution of the bank's net profit for 2024:
- 80% of net profit in the amount of UAH 32.11 billion will be directed to paying dividends to the state budget;
- 5% of net profit in the amount of UAH 2.01 billion - to the reserve fund;
- 15% of net profit in the amount of UAH 6.0 billion - to cover accumulated losses from previous years.
