In April, the number of attacks by enemy aviation on the positions of the Defense Forces and Ukrainian settlements using guided bombs increased.
The press service of the Ministry of Defense has reported this.
In April, russian aviation dropped more than 5,000 guided bombs on the positions of the Defense Forces units and front-line settlements. A quarter of them, more than 1,200, the enemy used on the positions of our troops in the Kursk Oblast.
Over the past 2024, the enemy used about 40,000 guided bombs. And since the beginning of 2025, enemy aircraft have dropped more than 15,000 guided bombs.
Recall that in April 2024, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine recognized that modified aerial bombs have become a weapon that allows the russian army to advance.
We also reported that the battles in the area of Avdiivka in 2023-2024 demonstrated the effectiveness of guided bombs and led to the russians starting to use them en masse to destroy the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It was also previously reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have found a way to combat guided bombs (GABs), which the army of the aggressor country, russia, has been dropping hundreds of on Ukrainian military positions and frontline settlements over the past year.
