AFU focusing efforts on deterring russians on 3 threatening axes – Syrskyi

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are focusing their main efforts on deterring russians on three threatening axes: Sumy and Kursk, Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, announced this on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"We are focusing our main efforts on deterring the Russian aggressor on threatening axes, which are primarily Sumy and Kursk, Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka. At the same time, we are using active defense tactics: thanks to such actions, our soldiers restored a total of 115 positions during the month," he said.

Syrskyi noted that April was another difficult month of the war, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine maintained the stability of the defense, did not allow critical losses and enemy breakthroughs.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 30, Syrskyi reported that despite statements about a ceasefire for the May holidays, russian troops have significantly increased the intensity of hostilities on the Pokrovsk axis and are trying to reach the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk Region.
