Ihor Kolomoiskyi lost the Supreme Court on the termination of Ukrainian citizenship.
This is evidenced by the decision of the Administrative Court of Cassation within the Supreme Court, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is indicated that Kolomoiskyi lost his citizenship as a result of the voluntary acquisition of citizenship of another state, the fact of his termination of which as of July 18, 2022, the court had not established. This indicates the absence of violation of Article 7 of the European Convention on Nationality and Article 8 of the Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness, which were ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The Supreme Court found that the actions of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in issuing decree No. 502/2022 terminating Kolomoiskyi’s Ukrainian citizenship were not arbitrary or irrational, as they were based on the requirements of the law, were supported by evidence, and in any case were not erroneous regarding the facts, in particular the fact that Kolomoiskyi voluntarily acquired Israeli citizenship and resided in such a country and, as a result, there were grounds for issuing the said decree.
On April 2, the Administrative Court of Cassation completely dismissed Kolomoiskyi’s claim to the President of Ukraine to declare the decree unlawful and the cancellation of it regarding the termination of citizenship. The Supreme Court’s decision enters into force after the deadline for filing an appeal, if no such appeal has been filed. In the event of an appeal, the decision, if not overturned, becomes legally effective upon the return of the appeal, refusal to open or close the appeal proceedings, or adoption of a resolution by the court of the appellate instance following the results of the appeal review.
An appeal against the decision of the Supreme Court in the composition of the panel of judges of the Administrative Court of Cassation may be filed with the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court within thirty days from the date of the full court decision.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukrainian businessman Ihor Kolomoiskyi holds two passports of an Israeli citizen. The government of Cyprus has deprived Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoiskyi of his citizenship due to the businessman's "dubious image" and reputational risks for the country.
The President's Office has classified Zelenskyy's decrees, which allegedly deprived Kolomoiskyi, Rabinovych, and Korban of their citizenship.
