The Office of the President of Ukraine reported that American partners are preparing an option to tighten sanctions after the inauguration of the current US President Donald Trump.
This was stated by the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasiuk on the air of a telethon.
"Regarding the US, it is difficult to say what the policy will be. Here it is quite dynamic. But we know for sure that American partners are constantly preparing an option to tighten sanctions after Trump's inauguration, including a variant of tightening sanctions," he said.
In particular, the US is collecting information on ways to counter the shadow fleet, and counter the russian military-industrial complex, and financial and banking sanctions.
"In fact, as soon as there is a corresponding instruction from the White House, sanctions updates from American partners can be adopted quite quickly," he added.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has stated his readiness to agree on additional sanctions against the aggressor country of russia if it refuses to make a "decent and just" peace with Ukraine. The corresponding bill is already ready.
