US Senator threatens new sanctions if russia doesn't embrace "honorable, just and enduring peace"

US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has said he is ready to agree on additional sanctions against the aggressor country russia if it refuses to “embrace an honorable, just and enduring peace” with Ukraine. The corresponding bill is already ready.

He wrote about this on X.

In his post, he expressed gratitude to President Trump and his team for “working diligently to end the war in Ukraine — that was created by Putin’s barbaric invasion — in an honorable and just way."

Graham also made a statement regarding additional sanctions against "Putin's Russia." He announced a bipartisan bill that already has "almost 60 co-sponsors."

According to him, the new sanctions will impose additional tariffs on any country that buys russian oil, gas, uranium or other products.

"The Senate stands ready to move in this direction and will do so overwhelmingly if Russia does not embrace an honorable, just and enduring peace," Graham added.

As we will recall, yesterday Trump suggested that russian dictator vladimir putin does not want to end the war in Ukraine.
