Ministry of Strategic Industry published final number of defective mines that had to be replaced

The final number of problematic mines supplied by one of the state-owned enterprises was 39,455 pieces. All of them were replaced at the manufacturer's expense within the framework of warranty obligations. This was reported in the Ministry of Strategic Industry response to the request of Economic Pravda.

The replacement of defective mines took place in stages every month, starting from December 2024. In parallel, the plant shipped ammunition under existing contracts.

"Changes were made to the design of mortar rounds, production technology was improved, and product quality control was strengthened. New batches of 120 mm mortar rounds were manufactured using a modified technology and underwent a number of tests, including in the troops," the Ministry of Strategic Industry reported.

It is also reported that within the framework of two criminal proceedings, an investigation is underway into people who may be guilty of supplying low-quality ammunition in the fall of 2024.
