The statement of the kremlin regime regarding the alleged complete "liberation" of the Kursk Oblast by the russian federation troops and the end of hostilities in this region contradicts reality.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this on Telegram, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The defensive operation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in certain areas in the Kursk Oblast continues. The operational situation is difficult, but our units continue to hold designated positions and perform assigned tasks, while inflicting effective fire damage on the enemy from all types of weapons, including using active defense tactics," the message says.
It is also noted that since the beginning of the day, five enemy assaults have been repelled in the operational zone of the Kursk group of forces, and another combat clash is currently ongoing.
"There is no threat of encirclement of our units. The statements of the enemy leadership about the "defeat" of the Ukrainian group of troops are nothing more than a propaganda ploy and a desire to wish for reality. Active actions of our troops in certain areas of the Belgorod Oblast of the Russian Federation are also continuing," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, kremlin leader vladimir putin heard a report by the Chief of the General Staff of the russian federation Valery Gerasimov and announced the alleged "completion" of the operation to "liberate" the Kursk Oblast from the Ukrainian military.
