On the night of April 24, the russian armed forces carried out a combined attack on Ukraine with Kalibr cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and Shahed kamikaze strike drones, hitting Kyiv and Kharkiv. At 00:15 on April 24, the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force warned of the threat of the enemy using Kalibr cruise missiles. Missile launches were recorded from the Black Sea.
In most regions of Ukraine, an air alert was declared during the already ongoing air alert due to the danger of strike UAVs moving in the airspace. At about 00:30, the Air Force reported the entry of cruise missiles into Ukrainian airspace. The Kalibrs flew over the Kherson Region and moved in a northern direction.
At around 01:00, monitoring channels warned of the threat of ballistic missiles moving in the direction of Kyiv and Kharkiv in several waves. A series of explosions were heard in both cities.
Also, at around 4 am, cruise missiles from the strategic aviation of the russian armed forces of the type Kh-101 entered the airspace of Ukraine from the side of the Sumy Region. This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Air Force of Ukraine.
At around 04:55, the enemy struck the Dnipropetrovsk Region with cruise missiles. Explosions were heard in particular in Pavlohrad. Also, at around 05:00, an explosion was also heard in Khmelnytskyi - the city was under attack by cruise missiles. At around 05:20, monitoring channels recorded the entry of new cruise missiles into the airspace of Ukraine. The missiles moved from the Black Sea area through the Kherson Region to the Mykolaiv Region, duplicating the movement of previous targets.
At around 06:00, explosions were heard in the Vinnytsia Region.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, russian invaders struck the city center of Sumy on April 13, using cluster bombs and killing many people. In particular, a trolleybus was attacked - almost all passengers were kiled. At that time, people were returning from church, as that day it was the Christian holiday of Palm Sunday.
