Small turning point occurred: russian army gradually retreating in Pokrovsk Axis

The army of the aggressor country, russia, is gradually retreating in the Pokrovsk Axis. These are positions located on the western outskirts of Pokrovsk.

This was stated by Viktor Trehubov, spokesman for the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Troops Group (OSTG) on the air of a telethon, his words are quoted by RBC-Ukraine.

According to him, after the Ukrainian military managed to recapture the settlement of Kotlyne, a "small turning point" occurred west of Pokrovsk.

After that, parts of the occupiers began to very slowly "crawl" from these positions to the southern outskirts of Pokrovsk, from where they launched their offensive at the beginning of this year.

Trehubov recalled that the russians set themselves the goal of cutting the road connecting Pokrovsk with Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk Region.

"They didn't succeed," the spokesman for the Khortytsia OSTG stated.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in mid-January 2025, analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) stated that the russian army was preparing to blockade Pokrovsk.

Later, the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the russians were trying to bypass Pokrovsk on the flanks, cut off logistics routes, and encircle the city.

And in February, it became known that the russian army may change the priority of the offensive from Pokrovsk to Kostiantynivka in the spring and summer of 2025.
