Soldiers of the 6th Ranger Regiment of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted a successful raid and captured russian occupiers in one of the operational directions. This was stated in a message on the SOF Telegram channel on Tuesday, April 15.
SOF fighters discovered five occupiers in a dugout while conducting special operations in one of the operational directions.
"After quick but careful planning, the operators advanced to the enemy positions. As a result of a quick raid, SOF soldiers destroyed two enemy soldiers and forced the other three to surrender, thus saving their lives," the message says.
Ukrainian fighters completed the task without losses and withdrew with the prisoners of war.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 8, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukrainian military forces had captured two Chinese citizens who were fighting as part of the russian army in the Donetsk Region.
In December, SOF fighters captured russian military personnel in the Kursk Oblast.
Also in December, Ukrainian military forces captured an Egyptian citizen who, as part of the russian occupation forces, stormed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Toretsk Axis.
