On Sunday, April 13, russian occupiers hit the center of Sumy with ballistic missiles. There are killed and wounded. This was reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.
As of 12:20 pm, 21 people were killed and 83 people were wounded as a result of the russian strike, including 7 children. All are receiving medical assistance.
"Russia fired ballistic missiles directly into the city center. Just when there were many people outside. Deliberate destruction of civilians on a major church holiday. Rescuers and police arrived at the scene of the hits from the first minutes. Many victims. People were injured right in the middle of the street, in cars, public transport, in houses," Klymenko wrote.

He added that the police have restricted access to the affected area, and also called on the townspeople to adhere to the established restrictions so that emergency services can work quickly.

"We are deploying a headquarters to receive applications and provide assistance to victims. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service and the police are working with the victims. Investigators, forensic experts at the sites of the strikes are collecting evidence, documenting the brutal war crime of the russian federation against the civilian population," Klymenko noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andrii Kovalenko said that russian troops have intensified in the direction of the Sumy and Kharkiv Regions, but there is no talk of an offensive on Sumy and Kharkiv right now.
