Germany has already provided Ukraine with 4 Patriot systems and cannot give more yet – Pistorius

Germany is trying to collect any air defense system from all over the world to transfer to Ukraine, as well as find money to buy everything that can be obtained.

The acting German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has stated this at a press conference following the results of the 27th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein).

It is reported that Germany has transferred four Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine and currently does not have the opportunity to increase this number, but will try to help in finding them in other countries.

"Germany has already provided four full-fledged Patriot systems... We are not able to provide another system, at least at the moment... But we are trying to collect any air defense system from all over the world in the range that we can find, at the same time we are trying to find money, to buy everything that we can get," he said.

Pistorius noted that the systems previously ordered by Germany will not arrive before 2027. Germany itself is working to increase the capacity of its industry to produce more of this. Germany will also resume the initiative it first launched a year and a half ago as soon as possible, "to raise money from around the world and be able to purchase more systems.”

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Germany announced a new aid package for Ukraine: Iris-T air defense systems, Patriot missiles, and Leopard tanks.

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will participate in the next meeting of countries meeting to support Ukraine's self-defense (Ramstein) via video call, although it was previously reported that he would not attend Ramstein.
