On April 11, technical consultations between Ukraine and the US on the minerals agreement will be held in Washington.
Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration – Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna announced this, Radio Svoboda reports.
"Technical consultations between the teams of the ministries of justice and economy will be held tomorrow in Washington. And I am not able to disclose any details, because the meeting will take place only tomorrow. I will be able to comment tomorrow," Stefanishyna said in Brussels.
She confirmed that the agreement with the US on minerals cannot contain points that contradict cooperation with the EU.
"I can really confirm that nothing in the agreement can be discussed with Ukraine in a way that would undermine Ukraine's existing obligations, including financial ones - within the Ukraine facility, macro-financial assistance, cooperation with the IMF. This cannot be the subject of any negotiation format. And this means that the appropriate adjustments must be made to the format of the agreement later," the government official added.
Recall, earlier Trump said that Zelenskyy allegedly wants to withdraw from the mineral agreement and threatened him with "big problems."
