Trump says that Zelenskyy allegedly wants to withdraw from mineral agreement and threatens him with "big problems"

The leader of the United States of America, Donald Trump, said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy allegedly wants to withdraw from the rare earth metals agreement. He said that Zelenskyy would face "big problems" if he did so, Trump was quoted by Reuters.

"He is trying to withdraw from the rare earth metals agreement, and if he does, he will have problems, big, big problems," Trump told reporters.

The US President also added that Zelenskyy "wants to be a member of NATO," but this will never happen, and the Ukrainian leader allegedly understands this.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he is not going to the US yet, and the new draft mineral agreement, according to him, should be worked out by lawyers.

At the same time, the administration of US President Donald Trump expects Ukraine to quickly sign a new mineral agreement.

Earlier, Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Holos faction, reported that the new draft agreement with the US on minerals provides that 3 out of 5 people in the US Reconstruction Investment Fund have full veto rights, the US contribution is already aid provided to Ukraine since 2022, and the draft does not contain anything about security guarantees.
