In 2024, Ukraine allocated only USD 62,500 of state funds for lobbying activities in the US. This is six times less than in 2023, when USD 366,700 was spent on these needs.
The data was published according to FARA (Foreign Agents Registration Act) - a registry that records the work of foreign agents in the US. This is reported by Opendatabot.
In total, since the beginning of 2022, Ukraine's expenses for lobbying in the US amounted to USD 5.4 million, while russia spent twice as much - USD 11.8 million over the same period. Even after a significant reduction in 2024 - 18 times - russian expenses still exceed Ukrainian ones 7.4 times (USD 461,200 versus USD 62,500).

For comparison, Poland also reduced lobbying expenses by 5 times, reducing them to 245.2 thousand dollars, but even in this form it is almost four times more than what Ukraine spends.
6,882 lobbying companies are officially registered in the US, of which 517 remain active. It is these structures that have the ability to influence political decisions in Washington.
Recall that in March 2024, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on lobbying in Ukraine, designed to make this area more transparent.
