Zaluzhnyi confirms existence of headquarters in Wiesbaden, where officers of AFU and NATO planned operations against RF

The Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom, former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi confirmed the existence of a secret facility in Germany, where the planning of operations of the Ukrainian Defense Forces against the army of the aggressor country of russia was carried out.

Zaluzhnyi reported this on Facebook on Tuesday, April 8.

He recalled that after the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine began to receive various weapons and equipment from its partners. The Ukrainian military faced a new challenge, as the equipment had to be delivered and its repair ensured.

For this purpose, in April 2022, a center for coordinating the supply of military assistance to Ukraine was established in Stuttgart, Germany. Later, the headquarters was relocated to Wiesbaden.

After that, the Ukrainian command realized that it needed a joint operational headquarters with its partners, the tasks of which would include assessing the needs for weapons and equipment, based on the planning of operations.

"This issue became particularly acute in the summer of 2022, when our partners expressed doubts about the feasibility of certain types of weapons and ammunition for the front in Ukraine," Zaluzhnyi noted.

Later, the idea was born to create an operational center for analyzing the operations of the Ukrainian army on the basis of the existing logistics headquarters. This initiative was implemented thanks to the support of the United Kingdom.

According to Zaluzhnyi, the creation of this center allowed Wiesbaden to "get a new lease of life."

"This headquarters planned operations, conducted war games, formed needs for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and transferred them to Washington and European capitals. This platform became an excellent mechanism for interaction with our partners regarding future military operations and the formation of needs for them," Zaluzhnyi added.

He did not specify whether this operational center is currently functioning or not.

Zaluzhnyi also published a photo taken at this headquarters in August 2023 (main image of the article).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, at the end of March this year, the American publication The New York Times published an article in which it revealed previously unknown details about the work of the joint headquarters, where the planning of the operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the coordination of the supply of military assistance to Ukraine were carried out.
