Foreign Ministry responds to statement of Congresswoman Spartz about transfer of Ukrainian territories to russia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine commented on the interview of the Republican Congresswoman of Ukrainian origin Victoria Spartz, who called for the transfer of the occupied territories to russia. This was stated on the social network X by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Heorhii Tykhyi.

"Unlike Victoria, all of our land has always been and will always remain Ukrainian," wrote the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Heorhii Tykhyi on the social network X.

Thus, the British edition the Telegraph published an interview with Spartz with the headline "I am the only Ukrainian-born member of Congress - here’s why we must give land to russia."

"I simply do not understand how [Ukraine] can position itself in such a way as to demand the preservation of the territories. If they had won the war, it would have been a completely different matter," Spartz said.

In addition, the Congresswoman supports US President Donald Trump's decision to negotiate with russian dictator vladimir putin, stating that "there are no easy solutions."

"As I said two years ago, it's better to win wars as quickly as you can. Procrastination usually doesn't end well for democracy," she said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 2, Ukraine handed over to the US evidence of the aggressor country russia's violation of the moratorium on strikes on energy infrastructure.

On March 19, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the russian army continued to strike at Ukrainian energy facilities.

As we will recall, on March 11, Ukraine agreed to the US proposal to immediately introduce a temporary, 30-day ceasefire.
