Ukraine has received another 5,000 Starlink terminals from Poland.
Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Another 5,000 Starlink terminals were received from Poland. The terminals will provide uninterrupted communication in places where it is needed most – hospitals, schools, critical infrastructure facilities," he said.
Fedorov noted that the Starlinks will help residents of frontline areas stay in touch: call relatives, call emergency services, read the news, because due to shelling and destruction of base stations in the deoccupied territories, normal communication is unavailable.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, thanks to the cooperation of the Ministry of Digital Affairs with international partners and donors, Ukraine received more than 50,000 Starlink terminals, the largest number of them – 29,500 – from Poland.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in March, American billionaire, head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk promised that he would not disconnect the terminals of the Starlink satellite Internet system for Ukraine.
