This Friday, April 4, a meeting of military commands will be held on the deployment of contingents of the armed forces of foreign states in Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this at a joint briefing with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, his words are quoted by Ukrinform.
"We will have a meeting on Friday of military commands of several countries, a narrow circle, those who are ready to deploy a contingent in one form or another," the President said.
Zelenskyy recalled that the issue of the deployment of contingents includes land and air parts, as well as the presence of foreign forces at sea.
According to him, the "first in-depth meeting" will take place on Friday. A number of consultations on this topic were held before that.
He emphasized that the meeting will be based on positions prepared by the Ukrainian side. The head of state did not specify what was meant by these words.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 28, President Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine had convened an urgent meeting with representatives of the general staffs of those countries that are "one hundred percent" ready to send troops to Ukraine.
Shortly before that, he said that Ukraine was receiving more and more offers from states interested in participating in the peacekeeping mission.
