Russian dictator vladimir putin announced the most massive draft in the last 14 years. For the Kremlin, this is one of the methods of compensating for losses at the front, and is also evidence of the desire of the aggressor state of russia to continue the war, despite the declarations of peace.
This was reported by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andrii Kovalenko.
Thus, he emphasized that despite the statements of the russian authorities that conscripts are not sent to the combat zone, once they are in service, they voluntarily or forcibly sign contracts and end up at the front.
"So the draft has become one of the ways for the Kremlin to compensate for the large losses at the front line. This set of conscripts may also be evidence that russia, despite the official declarations of peace, actually wants to continue the war," the report says.
Kovalenko informed that Putin announced the most massive conscription of conscripts into the army in the last 14 years. In particular, this spring the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor state planned to replenish the army by 160,000 people - more than in the previous three years of full-scale war.
According to the head of the CCD, in the spring of 2022, 134,500 people were sent to serve, in the fall - 120,000, in the spring of 2023 - 147,000 and 130,000 were called up in the fall, and in 2024 - 150,000 and 133,000 people, respectively.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the president of the aggressor state of the russian federation, vladimir putin, signed a decree on the spring conscription for military service. According to the document, 160,000 people are planned to be called up to the ranks of the armed forces.
