In March, compared to February, Ukraine increased electricity imports by 11% to 272,000 MWh.
This is announced by the ExPro publication, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The largest share in the structure of electricity imports in March is occupied by Hungary (42.0%), in second place is Slovakia (19.0%), in third place is Poland (18.0%), then Romania (16.0%) and the rest from Moldova.
It is noted that electricity imports increased in all directions, except Slovakia.

However, in March 2025, electricity imports decreased by almost 40% compared to March 2024.
The report states that in March, Ukraine increased electricity exports 2 times to 76,300 MWh.
The growth in exports was due to an increase in electricity production at solar power plants during the daytime, which led to a surplus in the power system.
According to ExPro sources, in some periods the operator was even forced to apply generation restrictions.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in February, compared to January, Ukraine increased electricity imports by almost 30% to 244,000 MWh.
