Bodies of 909 more fallen defenders returned to Ukraine

Today, March 28, as a result of the repatriation measures, the bodies of 909 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine. This is stated in the message of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

Thus, it is reported that among the returned "on the shield" defenders, the fallen were from:

  • Kurakhove Axis;
  • Pokrovsk Axis;
  • Bakhmut Axis;
  • Vuhledar Axis;
  • Luhansk Axis;
  • Zaporizhzhia Axis;
  • morgues on the territory of the aggressor country, the russian federation.

It is noted that law enforcement investigators, together with expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will establish the identities of the deceased as soon as possible.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as a result of the full-scale war of the aggressor country of russia against Ukraine, more than 2,447 children suffered, 606 of whom were killed.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine returned 175 servicemen from russian captivity. Another 22 defenders returned home thanks to measures other than exchanges.

There is also a preliminary agreement with the aggressor country of russia that prisoner exchanges should become systematic in 2025.
