On March 27, russia struck energy sector in Kherson, Ukraine now awaits US reaction. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during a press conference in Paris (France) after a meeting of leaders of the "Coalition of the Willing" on supporting Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Two days ago there was a night when there were no strikes on the energy sector. Today, the energy sector in the city of Kherson was damaged by russian artillery. That's how it works... That's how the agreements were - there were three documents. I believe that the three documents say that these are not entirely normal agreements, in my opinion. That's why it works this way with the russians. And therefore, in my opinion, if today there was a violation and there were strikes on Kherson, there were strikes on the railway station and the electricity was damaged, because there were strikes on the energy sector and in the city of Kherson - this is a civilian city, not a battlefield, and civilians lost energy, I believe that there should be a reaction from the United States in action," he said.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine has evidence of russian strikes on civilian energy sector and they will be transferred to the United States.
"Our side, what it will do, no one yet understands who is monitoring what, because I think it is not clear who and how will monitor it. But we clearly understand where the shots were fired, what was destroyed, what was lost. We have all this (evidence). We will prepare it all. The Minister of Defense received this order from me. It will be prepared and transferred to the United States of America. And after that we are waiting for the reaction of the United States, since they told us that they would react to violations," he noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the afternoon of March 27, russian occupiers attacked the center of Kherson, the russians also struck the Kherson train station and the surrounding infrastructure.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov reported on March 25 that, following the results of negotiations between Ukraine and the United States, and the United States with russia in Saudi Arabia on March 23-25, all parties agreed to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea and to implement a ban on attacks on energy infrastructure.
